Lead Investigator, Vision Maker Media Archival Stewardship Consultancy, Vision Maker Media sponsored research contract ($53,554), October 2025. A MITH-led project providing archival metadata and digital stewardship support, including collection description, rights and distribution metadata, and sustainable access workflows for Indigenous-produced audiovisual media.

Lead Investigator, Sound Collections Database Revitalization and Migration, National Recording Preservation Foundation award ($5,000), January 2025. Supported the migration and revitalization of the Radio Preservation Task Force’s Sound Collections Database in collaboration with MITH research software developer Raffaele Viglianti.

Recipient, ARHU Advancement Grant, University of Maryland College of Arts and Humanities, 2022. Supported research on natural language processing, topic modeling, and improved discovery of audiovisual collections through MITH’s Digital Dialogues archive.

Principal Investigator, “Unlocking the Airwaves: Revitalizing an Early Public Radio Collection,” National Endowment for the Humanities Humanities Collections and Reference Resources grant ($217,000), April 2018.

Principal Investigator, “Alternative Projections: Experimental Film in LA 1945-80,” Getty Foundation Exhibition Publication Support Grant ($65,000), part of the initiative Pacific Standard Time: Art in LA 1945-1980, January 2010. To support the preservation of 10 films in conjunction with the Academy Film Archive and the development of a multi-media website publication.

Principal Investigator, “Alternative Projections: Experimental Film in LA 1945-80,” Getty Foundation Research and Planning Grant ($117,000), part of the initiative Pacific Standard Time: Art in LA 1945-1980, April 2009. To support historical and archival research, oral histories, and planning towards a screening series/exhibition.
